All Dielectric Self-Supporting Fiber Optic Cable ADSS is loose tube stranded. The optical cable transmits signals in the form of optical pulses, and uses glass or plexiglass as the network transmission medium. It mainly consists of fiber core, cladding and coating.200um or 250um Bare Fibers, are positioned into a loose tube made of high modulus plastics. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around a FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) as a non-metallic central strength member into a compact and circular cable core. After the cable core is filled with filling compound. It is covered with thin PE (polyethylene) inner sheath. After stranded layer of aramid yarns are applied over the inner sheath as strength member, the cable is completed with PE or AT (anti-tracking) outer sheath.
The reason why the fiber optic cable develops rapidly is because of the following characteristics, the main reason for the rapid development of optical cable is that it has the following characteristics:
(1) The transmission bandwidth will be very wide, and the communication capacity is very large;
(2) Low transmission loss and long relay distance, especially suitable for long-distance transmission;
(3) Strong anti-lightning and anti-electromagnetic interference capabilities;
(4) Good confidentiality, not easy to be eavesdropped or intercepted data;
(5) Small size and light weight;
(6) Low bit error rate and high transmission reliability;
(7) The price in the market is not expensive.
